Claudine Walton

Claudine Hinkle Walton, 78, of Alderson, WV passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV.

 Born November 1, 1941 at Williamson, WV she was the daughter of the late Jack Warren Akers and Etta Mae Pack Akers McDavid.

Claudine loved to dance and loved music. She was a member of the River of Life Church and loved her church family. Claudine worked as a hairdresser for over thirty years and was also an insurance agent. She taught Grief Share for over seven years, helping people with their burden of loss.

 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald E. Hinkle Sr., brother Wilber Akers and grandson, Carl Jacob "C.J." Hinkle, a sister in law, Bonnie Patterson, and a step grandson, Hunter Walton.

 Survivors include her husband, Ralph M. Walton, son, Ronald "Cricket" Hinkle Jr., daughter Rhonda Hinkle Combs (David) all of Alderson, WV, stepmother, Frances Akers of Hillsville, VA, step sons, Gene and Tommy Walton of Crawley, WV, grandchildren, Christopher Combs (Julie) of Lewisburg, WV, Carrie Niday of Roanoke, VA, Joshua Hinkle of Roanoke, VA, Savannah Hinkle of Littleton, CO and Shane Hinkle of Littleton, CO, step grandchildren, Cody Walton of Rainelle, Nicole Walton of Charmco, Makayla Walton of Ronceverte, WV and Noah Walton of Crawley, WV, Zeek Walton of Crawley, WV and Gabe Walton of Crawley, WV, eight great grandchildren, sisters in law, Maryona Arbogast of Renick, WV and Jan Hinkle of Woodstock, VA, step sisters, Shirley Hayes (David) and Brenda Hammon and step brother, Woodie Purdie.

 Due to the regulations associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, and out of love and respect for extended family and friends, a private service for only the immediate family will be held with Pastor Anthony Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, WV.
