James Edward Shaffer, 58, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2019, at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea, WV.
He was born in Nicholas County, WV, on May 1, 1961, to the late Lloyd N. Shaffer Sr. and Daisy Mae Riffle Shaffer.
James worked for Shoney's restaurant.
James is survived by his sons, James Ethan Shaffer and Cullen Scott Shaffer, both of White Sulphur Springs; daughters, Courtney Paige Shaffer (Travis Glover) and Gabrielle Elizabeth Shaffer, all of White Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Allyson Mae Glover and Neveah Dawn McCoy Shaffer; brothers, Lloyd N. Shaffer Jr. (Julia) and Robert W. Shaffer, all of White Sulphur Springs; and sisters, Karen S. Shaffer (Rodney Vanhoy) of White Sulphur Springs, Penny D. Spencer (Frank) of Lewisburg, WV, and Lisa D. Clemons (Gale) of Anthony, WV. Also surviving him are several loving nieces and nephews; and long time friend, Gene Wolford of White Sulphur Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2019, at the Greene-Robertson Funeral Home in Sutton, WV, with the Rev. Linn Schiefer officiating. Burial will follow at the Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery in Sutton.
