Robert "Bob" Brown

Robert W. "Bob" Brown, 81, formerly of Union, WV, most recently of Waynesboro, VA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2019.

Born on February 13, 1938, in Monroe County, WV, he was a son of Sellie H. and Evelyn M. Brown.

He graduated from Union High School, class of 1956. He retired after 40 years from Cheveront's Service Station, which was originally based in Ronceverte, WV, before moving to Waynesboro.

He was a member of the Wayne Hills Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold E. Brown (Betty), William H. Brown, and James Edward Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara "Bobbie" Perdue of Frankford, WV; two daughters, Jackie Ballerson and Jenni Burgener; one son, Richard Paul Brown of Waynesboro; sister, Mary Ellen Wendon of Lewisburg, WV; three sisters-in-law, Helen Brown of Roanoke, VA, Jo Ann Fogus, and Marion Bailey, both of Frankford; brothers-in-law, Donnie Perdue (Carol) of Lewisburg, and Kenneth Jr. Perdue of Clarksburg, WV; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and last but not least, he loved and cherished his great-nephew, Grayson VanBuren of Lewisburg.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at noon at the Wayne Hills Baptist Church in Waynesboro.

Friends and family may call one hour prior to the service, Saturday, at the church.
