Spartan Baseball Crushes Riverside to Advance for Matchup With Beckley

The Greenbrier East Spartans baseball team pounded out 14 hits, scored nine second inning runs and cruised to an easy 15-2 win over the Riverside Warriors in just five innings in the first round of sectional play.

Spartans Beat Nitro, Fall to Cabell Midland

The Greenbrier East Spartans got back on the winning side of things this past Thursday, May 4, when they downed a solid Nitro Wildcats team 9-5 behind four runs driven in by Daylon Colley, but then suffered a tough 4-0 defeat at the hands of Cabell Midland the following day.

The Greenbrier East Spartans baseball team opened up their 2017 campaign at Ripley High School this past Saturday, March, 18. Despite battling back from a 4-0 deficit, the Spartans came up on the short end of the scoreboard in a 5-4 loss to the Vikings.
