William "Bill" A. Gallaher, 80, of Hot Springs, VA, formerly of White Sulphur Springs, WV, died early Wednesday morning, May 21, 2014, at his residence after an extended illness.

Born in Sweet Springs, WV, he was a son of the late William and Minnie Kincaid Gallaher.

Mildred Caldwell Kerr

Mildred Caldwell Kerr of Houston, TX, peacefully passed from life to eternal life everlasting on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, six years to the day after the death of her beloved husband of 65 years, Baine Perkins Kerr.

She was born June 18, 1919, in St. Louis, MO, and moved soon after to San Antonio, TX, where she loved growing up.

She was the daughter of Delbert and Ada Hammons of Fairlea, WV, and was born on July 10, 1958, in Maryland.

Janet Lee Hopkins, 57, of Alderson, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV, following a short illness.

Born March 10, 1957, in Union, WV, she was the daughter of Pastor Mary Catherine Johnson Hopkins of Alderson and the late John Everette Hopkins Sr.

Frank Curry Hunter Jr.

Frank Curry Hunter Jr., 70, of Ronceverte, WV, went home to be with the Lord and his wife and sweetheart of 50 years, Janet Arlene Booth Hunter, on Friday, May 16, 2014. He was born May 16, 1944, in Covington, VA, the son of the late Frank C. Hunter Sr. and Shirley Mae Atkins Hunter.

Frank retired as a long haul truck driver after many years of service. He was a former employee of Hercules Inc. in Covington. He was also a lifelong proud and active patriot, involved in recent years with the Southern West Virginia Tea Party.

Jimmie "Jay" Murphy Jr., 21, of Neola, WV, died Saturday, May 24, 2014, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born September 14, 1992, he was a son of Tammy Popivich of Sweetwater, TN, and the late Jimmie Murphy Sr.

Raymond V. Austin, 85, of Ronceverte, WV, passed away Monday morning, May 19, 2014, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte following an extended illness.

Raymond was born October 9, 1928, in Ronceverte and was the son of the late Christopher Columbus and Bertha E. Potter Austin.

Born January 10, 1921, in White Sulphur Springs, she was a daughter of the late Clarence C. and Ethel Louise Alderman Bostic.

Mrs. Clemens was born November 17, 1923, in Elkins, WV, the daughter of William and Etrulia Wylie Kyle. She was raised in Marlinton, WV, by her grandmother, Augusta Smith.
