Michael Dean O'Dell Sr., 65, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte, WV, following a long illness.
Born on March 19, 1953, at Richwood, WV, he was the son of George and Molona Trout O'Dell.
Michael was a U.S. Army veteran. He loved and was very proud to serve his country.
After meeting the love of his life, Eva, they made their home in Lewisburg and raised their family. Michael worked as a security officer at Allegheny Campground and the Greenbrier Valley Mall. He loved fishing and NASCAR. He also loved life and had a heart of gold.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Miranda Mae O'Dell; two sisters, Thelma Jane O'Dell and Alma Rader; and two brothers, Dennis George O'Dell and Arden Levi O'Dell.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Eva Dahmer O'Dell of Lewisburg; two sons, Michael Dean O'Dell II and Brandon Lee O'Dell (Tiffany) both of Lewisburg; four grandchildren, Kaden, Gunnar, Payton and Miranda all of Lewisburg; one brother, Steve O'Dell of Summersville, WV; and many nieces and nephews.
Service was held Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel in Rainelle, WV, with the Rev. Troy George officiating. Burial followed at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintonville, WV, with military honors.
