Rose Hartsook

Rose Marie Hartsook, 76, of Clintonville, WV, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, Sunday, November 25, 2018.

Born October 4, 1942, at Snow Hill, WV, she was the daughter of Jesse and Donie Boone.

"Rosie" was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church and a home-maker. She enjoyed serving the Lord and the fellowship of her church family. She was a devoted mom, wife, and grandmother. Rosie was a loyal friend to many. Her heart was genuine and endearing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her seven brothers and six sisters.

Rosie is survived by her faithful husband of 53 years, Lacy Hartsook. They enjoyed gardening and canning together, spending time with family and friends, and were always part of everything going on at church. Lacy and Rose had often commented to each other that they had climbed many mountains together. Upon her passing, in his ever-so-sincere and tender way, Lacy said, "I guess this is a mountain I'll have to climb alone."

The family, who will uphold her legacy and carry her on in their hearts, is son, Roger Hartsook (Beth) of Clintonville; daughter, Darlene White (Todd) of Clintonville; and five grandchildren, Ethan Hartsook, Cheyenne Hartsook, Yvonne Sydenstricker, Jacob White, and Joshua White.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 29, 2018, at11 a.m., at Sinking Creek Baptist Church in Clintonville, with Pastors Mike Tincher and Delmas Beavers officiating. Interment will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintonville.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at the Sinking Creek Baptist Church.
