Jeffery Lee Steele, 54, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, in Montgomery, AL.
Jeff was born May 30, 1964, in Fredericksburg, VA, to the late Dexter Steele Sr. and the late Betty Jean Deem Steele.
He graduated from Greenbrier East High School and worked at the Ranch Room steakhouse with his parents, where he began his love of cooking. He was member of Station 45 Fairlea Volunteer Fire and Greenbrier County EMS for many years. He was also the founding member of the Quad F Association. He had moved to Montgomery to accept a position as a food service director for Aramark.
Jeff was a great family man, loving father, and friend to so many. When asked about his greatest accomplishment, he would tell you raising his son.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Tammy of Montgomery; son, Patrick Mackey and companion, Amber Laws, of Jackson, MS; brother, Dexter Steele Jr. and spouse, Jill; nephews, Cameron and Clay; niece, Kirsten; sister-in-law, Angela Sweeney and spouse, Tom; nephews, Adam and Ryan; brother-in-law, Harry Lee Stover and companion, Cindy; nephews, Brayson and Nathaniel; and niece, Stacey.
Funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte, WV, with Pastor Gary Baker officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lewisburg, WV.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday July 14, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte.
