Robert Lee Shaver, 81, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018, at The Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV.
He was born December 25, 1936, in Union, WV, and was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Polly) Leach Shaver.
Robert graduated from Greenbrier Military School in 1955 and Concord College in 1961. He retired from the Department of the Interior, Fish and Wildlife Service, in 1994 and was a member of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kazan Landreth Shaver; daughter, Jennifer Shaver Baker (Rick) of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Jessica Ann Baker of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and Laura Lee Baker of Huntington, WV; and a special cousin, Sue Ann Morgan Berry (Percy) of White Sulphur Springs, WV.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018, at McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg with the Rev. Robert McClintic officiating. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Union, WV, following the service.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. prior to service at the funeral home.
