Jack Loomis

Jack W. Loomis, 78, of Ronceverte, WV, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea, WV.

Born June 20, 1936, at Caldwell, WV, he was the son of the late Jesse and Veo Williams Loomis.

Jack spent 10 years in the U.S. Navy, retired from Westvaco, and was a member of Zion's Light Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Anderson; son-in-law, Darrell Reynolds; and brothers, Darrell Lee Loomis and Harold “Crow” Loomis.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Annabell Loomis, son, Jack Loomis Jr., and daughter, Kim Reynolds, all of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Arica Anderson (Shawn Carter), Lucas Reynolds, and Cameron Dunbrack; great-grandchildren, Bailey Jones and Creed Carter; brother, Jimmy Loomis of Caldwell; special niece, Tammy O'Brien; several nieces and nephews; and his loving companion, Biscuit.

A memorial service is scheduled for 7:30 PM on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Zion's Light Baptist Church on Horseshoe Bend Road in Ronceverte with Pastor Gary Baker officiating and where the family will receive friends from 6 PM until time of the service.
