Cynthia Kelly

Cynthia Gail Alderman Kelly, 71, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, was carried home to heaven by angels on Monday, April 27, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born March 3, 1944, in White Sulphur Springs, Cynthia was the fourth child of Wyatt Hill and Kathleen Wickline Alderman.

She graduated from White Sulphur Springs High School in 1962 and married John Kelly in 1963. They were married 51 years. Cynthia was a homemaker who took pride in cooking, caring for others, and her strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Family of God Church in White Sulphur Springs, where her husband is the pastor. Her family and friends will remember her courage, strength, and how, even in the toughest of circumstances, lived each day with a smile on her face.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wyatt Hill Alderman and Kathleen Wickline Alderman; and an infant sister, Beatrice Diane Alderman.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, John Kelly; her son, Jonathan Kelly; daughter, Sharon Kelly Crance and husband, Jeff Crance; siblings, Betty Turner, Pete Alderman, Mary Nemcik and husband, John, and Melissa Brock; grandchildren, Lindsay Crance and Ryan Crance; and many loved nieces and nephews, as well as grandnieces and grandnephews.

Because of Cynthia's love of animals and the excellent care she received in her final days, the family requests that donations be made to the Greenbrier Humane Society, 151 Holliday Lane, Lewisburg, WV 24901 and the Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901, in lieu of flowers.

A funeral service was held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Ed Vallandingham officiating. Burial followed in the Mapledale Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs.
