World War II And Korean War Veterans Honored At Benefit Dinner

Vietnam veterans gathered at the West Virginia State Fairgrounds Saturday, June 28, to honor the men who served before them in World War II and Korea with a benefit dinner sponsored by the Eastern Highlands Chapter 1072 of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA).

Greenbrier Classic Final Playing Field Announced

The final playing field for the 2014 edition of The Greenbrier Classic has been announced. A contingent of 152 players (four open qualifying positions will complete the field of 156 players) with 10 alternates.

Mountain Transit Authority Announces Additional Routes

Beginning July 1, Mountain Transit Authority (MTA) bus routes will officially provide transportation to Rainelle, Quinwood and Rupert, in addition to Greenbrier Valley Industrial Park and Lewisburg.

Local VA Clinic Closed Until Further Notice

The VA Greenbrier County Community Based Outpatient Clinic, which was temporarily closed after several of its employees became ill, was previously scheduled to reopen this Wednesday; however, the location is now closed until further notice.

Main Street Ronceverte Wins $10,000 Grants To Install WiFi

Main Street Ronceverte won a $10,000 grant from the West Virginia Development Office at the Main Street/On Trac Innovations awards ceremony in Charleston to install free WiFi connections in the historic downtown.
