Judges Ruling Discharges NRCTC Foundation From Liability In Pool Case

Judge H.L. Kirkpatrick III of the Circuit Court of Raleigh County, has granted the interpleader motion filed by the New River Community College Foundation in the case involving a contested $1 million given to the college by the County Commission to renovate a swimming pool in the Arts and Sciences Building located on the Greenbrier Valley Campus in Lewisburg.

Bill Prohibits Possession Of Wild Animals

West Virginia House Bill 4393, which prohibits the private possession of dangerous wild animals, passed and creates a Dangerous Wild Animal Board, whose members will determine what animals to include under the law.

MU, WVU And VT Coaches To Participate In Greenbrier Classic Pro-Am

Tournament officials have announced that college coaches, John "Doc" Holliday and Dan D'Antoni from Marshall University, Tony Gibson and Ron Everhart from West Virginia University and Frank Beamer and Buzz Williams from Virginia Tech, will participate in the Wednesday Pro-Am at The Greenbrier Classic.

Ronceverte Boil Water Advisory Lifted

The boil water advisory for the city of Ronceverte has been lifted effective Monday, June 30, at 10:25 AM. For more information, call city hall at 304-647-5455.

Brown's Water Advisory Issued

A boil water advisory is being reissued for the Brown's water system in White Sulphur Springs. This initial advisory was issued on June 30, 2006, and is being reissued due to inadequate disinfection, failure to properly monitor the drinking water, and lack of a properly certified operator.

Clothing Voucher Applications Now Available

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources Division of Family Assistance will begin accepting applications July 1 for school clothing vouchers for eligible children enrolled in West Virgina schools.
