The Greenbrier East High School golf team finished first when they played against 12 other school teams for the WV Association High School Challenge held at the Lewisburg Elks Club in Lewisburg on Tuesday, August 5.

County Commission Hopeful For Return of $1 Million

Greenbrier County Commissioner Mike McClung Wednesday said he was hopeful the county would soon see the return of the $1 million bed tax funds given to New River Community and Technical College for construction of a swimming pool.

Flea Marketers Expect to 'Fair' Well This Year

Flea marketers are hopeful for a successful weekat this year's State Fair of West Virginia.The flea market opens at 8 AM tomorrow is scheduled to be open until 6:00 each afternoon. However, according to vendors, they hope to remain open even later.

Tomblin Orders Flags To Half-Staff In Honor Of Cpl. Groves

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin today ordered all U.S. and State flags at all state-owned facilities to be flown at half-staff from dawn until dusk, Thursday, August 7, the day of services for Corporal Alva Clifford Groves, a West Virginia native and repatriated United States Army soldier who died in captivity in 1951 during the Korean War.

Ronceverte Wetland Program In Preproposal Stage
