GVMC Drug-Free Mother Baby Program Continues

More than 75 mothers have received support to combat their drug addiction during their pregnancy in the first year of the Drug-Free Mother Baby Greenbrier Valley program at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.

NRCTC School of Practical Nursing Holds 11th Pinning Ceremony

The 11th annual pinning ceremony of the New River Community and Technical College School of Practical Nursing was held Saturday, July 19, at the Summersville Arena and Conference Center in Summersville. Thirty-seven graduates received pins for completing the nursing program.

Rowe Stresses Need To Address Substance Abuse Among Youth

A program vital to the success and rehabilitation of many at-risk youth in Greenbrier County closed its doors at the end of June. Greenbrier County's Juvenile Drug Court offered services and programs aimed at reducing recidivism and substance abuse among young people until the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals Administrative Office made the decision not to renew its funding.
