Greenbrier and Lincoln High Schools Deny East Students' Foul Play

Photos of a swampy, trashed visitor locker room that surfaced after the Greenbrier East High School football game against the Lincoln County Panthers in Hamlin on Friday caused a flurry of mudslinging on social media over the weekend.

Discover Rainelle's History In New Book Penned By Local Authors

Telling a story in pictures in Rainelle is the newest addition to Arcadia Publishing's popular Images of America series. The book, by local authors Joan C. Browning, Andrea J. Pendleton and Autumn G. Shelton, is set to release on October 13.

As mining and manufacturing jobs that have served as the backbone of West Virginia's economy for more than a century decline at an alarming rate, West Virginians are asking a critical question: "What's next, West Virginia?" That question has become the launching pad for a growing number of cities across the Mountain State to begin a long overdue conversation on economic diversity.
