Public Service Commission Orders Mon Power and Potomac Edison To Read Meters Each Month

The Public Service Commission of West Virginia has issued a final order in the general investigation into the meter reading, billing and customer service practices of the First Energy subsidiaries Monongahela Power Company (Mon Power) and Potomac Edison Company (PE) that, among other things, directs the companies to implement monthly meter reading and billing as quickly as possible, but no later than July 1, 2015, according a press release from the PSC.

Fire Department Holds Annual Bucket Drive

Over the Memorial Day weekend, there were some smiling faces in the streets of Ronceverte. The Ronceverte Volunteer Fire Department had its annual Memorial Day bucket drive. The fire department collected everything from pennies to $50 bills.

Sheriff's Department Calls Tuesday Night Spa City Shooting Accidental

The Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that a shooting took place last night in White Sulphur Springs. The shooting resulted in minor wounds and is considered accidental.
