Women Endure Rainy Weather To Build Habitat Home

Rain threatened to put a halt to the entire work day as gray clouds rolled over Habitat for Humanity's build site on May 10. What the storm clouds didn't know is that volunteers for Habitat for Humanity do not threaten easily, and despite the intermittent downpours, the dedicated team at the sixth annual Women Build continued their work.

High Rocks And Montwell Park Join Together To Offer After-School Entertainment

The teenage complaint is often heard by parents, especially when school wraps up and the days of summer grow longer: "There's nothing to do around here."

For students in the sixth grade and higher, High Rocks just nipped that complaint in the bud by opening The Cavern Under The Spring, better known as The Cavern.

Weekend Wreck Shuts Down Interstate 64

The eastbound lane of interstate 63 was closed for approximately 15 minutes when WSS Fire and EMS, along with Greenbrier County Sheriff's Deparment, responded to a single-vehicle accident Saturday, May 10.

Greenbrier East Spartans Close Out Regular Season With Wins

The Greenbrier East Spartans baseball team closed out its regular season this last Thursday with a 6-3 win over the Class AAA 6th ranked Woodrow Wilson, and the day before that had a good 10-5 road win at Oak Hill.

CVB Sidewalk Getting Facelift This Week

The Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau will begin replacing the sidewalks around the CVB at 200 W. Washington Street this week. Demolition will begin on Monday, May 12, and construction of the new sidewalk will begin later in the week.
