With Councilmember Kathy Glover sitting in for Mayor Bruce Bowling, White Sulphur Springs City Council met on Monday, January 14, to discuss a possible gun range in town and consider granting money to the Mountain Transit Authority.
Ryan Ellis, owner of Mountaineer Guns, approached City Council to propose a land lease. The approximate 100-acre lot near the water plant in the city is mostly unused, according to Ellis, with a section containing the site of a small gun range for the city's police department.
