A boil water advisory is still in effect for the city of Lewisburg. The advisory was announced yesterday, August 30, on the City of Lewisburg Facebook page following a mandatory water conservation announcement.
According to the city of Lewisburg's social media, the advisory is in response to low water levels at the water treatment and distribution facility, which initially caused low pressure and low volume for customers in higher elevations. However, the city assured customers through Facebook that tumors about water cutoff were not true.
