The recommendations of the Lewisburg Finance Committee dominated many of the issues facing the Lewisburg City Council during its regular meeting on Tuesday, June 19, including funding approval for the Lewisburg Fire Department, the Lewisburg Literary Festival, and a social media campaign promoting events and organizations throughout the area. In addition, Lewisburg Mayor John Manchester announced his appointment to a statewide roadway improvement board, and City Attorney Tim Stranco provided an update to the charter amendment process.
Restricted funds have been granted to the Lewisburg Fire Department (LFD) to aid the department in its hopes of finding a new home.
