Three Wounded, Including Off-Duty Police Officer, In Local Shooting

An off-duty Alderson police officer was shot and wounded in Summers County on Friday, October 27. Officer Mccaden Brackenrich and two people were wounded in the shooting.

"The thoughts and prayers of all the staff and citizens of the town of Alderson go out to Mr. Brackenrich and his family," according to a statement released by the town of Alderson.
