Planning For Broadband Internet Begins

The Greenbrier County Commission called a public hearing to spread information about long-term plans for a public broadband internet "backbone," an internet line that any provider could utilize to provide the region with high speed internet at competitive prices.

Grant applications were discussed that would finance a study to develop plans for the public broadband infrastructure backbone, and the Greenbrier County Commission agreed to the grant application.
