Monongahela National Forest Plans Prescribed Burning

USDA Monongahela National Forest specialists plan to burn as many as 1,420 acres between this fall and next spring. The burns units are located on the White Sulphur Ranger District in Greenbrier County and Greenbrier Ranger District in Pocahontas and Randolph counties.

White Sulphur Springs Shooting Leaves Woman, Child Injured

A four-year-old boy and his mother were injured in a shooting that took place Monday in White Sulphur Springs, according to officers with the Lewisburg Detatchment of the West Virginia State Police.

Make Your Voice Heard This Election Day

In May, data released by the United States Census Bureau revealed that West Virginia had the worst voter turnout in the nation in the 2012 election, with less than half of eligible voters turning out to the pools. Today, West Virginians and Greenbrier Countians have a chance to change that statistic.

Toughman Contest Cancelled

Due to low ticket sales and fighter registrations, the 16th annual Budweiser Greenbrier Valley Toughman Contest, that was scheduled for this Friday and Saturday, November 7 and 8, has been cancelled.
