Monroe County Grand Jury Indicts 22

Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney Justin R. St. Clair reports that 13 indictments were returned by the Monroe County Grand Jury for the May 2014 term of the Monroe County Circuit Court, alleging that 22 individuals committed 52 felony offenses and six misdemeanor offenses.

Marble Hand Returned After Three Years

Three years ago, a marble statue of Jesus that has stood on the grounds of Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg since the 60s was dismembered by vandals. Yesterday, one of the pieces of the statue was mysteriously returned and laid at the sculpture's feet - a left hand encased in a wreath of flowers.

Charges Dismissed With Prejudice Against Lobban And Crookshanks

Motion hearings were scheduled for Greenbrier County Commissioner Karen Lobban and former Greenbrier County Commissioner Betty Crookshanks on Thursday, September 18, but both cases were dismissed before the hearings occurred, according to an order from the Greenbrier County Circuit Clerk's office.
