Board of Education Meets, Supports Pay Increases For Educators

The Greenbrier County Board of Education signed a resolution presented by Greenbrier County Education Association President Jennifer Hanson that would support Senate Bill 391, which addresses competitive pay increases for teachers and school service personnel in West Virginia.

Lewisburg Police Make Drug Arrest

A routine traffic stop by Lewisburg police led to the arrest of a Fayette County man on narcotics charges. Officers stopped a vehicle driven by Nicholas Gene Lester, 30, of Layland for having a head light out on the night of Friday, November 7.

Morrisey Holds Town Hall Meeting To Address Concerns Of County Residents

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey said he "saved the best for last" as his office rounded the home stretch of its 55th town hall meeting Friday, November 7, at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine Roland P. Sharp Alumni Center, during which he described the workings of his office, as well as answered questions from Greenbrier County citizens in attendance.

Lewisburg Receives Special Recognition At America In Bloom Symposium

Lewisburg received special recognition for its landscaped areas at the America in Bloom symposium held last month in Philadephia, PA. Lewisburg received a four of five bloom rating for its beautification efforts.
