Ronceverte City Council Splits Rates Before PSC Hearing

A recent, disputed water rate increase in Ronceverte in February was considered and modified by City Council on Monday, May 6, in order for the Public Service Commission (PSC) of West Virginia to make a ruling.

On Monday, City Council passed an ordinance splitting the February rate increase ordinance into two pieces, breaking up the two outlined rate increases. One rate increase would have been enacted immediately after the ordinances' passage on February 4 and the other was initially delayed by approximately one year:
