Sandstone Woman Arrested At Rupert Tax Office

A Sandstone woman has been charged with obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct, and possession of a controlled substance following a commotion at the Greenbrier County Sheriff's Tax Office in Rupert.

Samantha Dawn Cales, 37, allegedly entered the tax office "screaming and holding a large stick" on Thursday, May 2, prompting a tax deputy to call for police. Chief Deputy N.L. Jeffries of the Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department arrived on the scene to observe Cales holding a wooden axe handle and screaming at the tax deputy, according to the criminal complaint.
