Farmers To Train For SNAP, Stretch Program

With the farmers' market season fast approaching, efforts to help local farmers are ramping up with a special training on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.

The training will include information on how farmers can accept SNAP benefits and details on a dollar for dollar matching pilot program exclusive to farmers' markets. Farmers interested are invited to attend on Thursday, April 4, at 5-8:30 p.m. in the barn building behind Hill & Holler in Lewisburg.
