By Bobby Bordelon

A $4 million settlement has begun to reach participants in a classaction lawsuit against Kenneth Pritt, Woodford Transportation, and Woodford Oil Company. The lawsuit was brought by attorney Charles Webb on behalf of residents and businesses in Lewisburg, who lost water service after a diesel spill contaminated sections of Anthony Creek in January 2015.

"For those customer of the city of Lewisburg water works, it's no April Fools' Day joke when you open that envelope and find a check enclosed for those who participated in the class action suit resulting from the interruption of service following the oil truck spilling its load into a Greenbrier River source of the local water supply," wrote resident Jack Ballard to The West Virginia Daily News.
