WV Teacher And Service Worker Unions Declare Strike Protesting Senate Bill 451

Teachers and service workers across West Virginia are out of school on Tuesday, February 19, to protest SB451, the omnibus education reform bill.

Several unions, including the West Virginia divisions of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT-WV), West Virginia School Service Personnel Association (WVSSPA), and the West Virginia Education Association (WVEA), gathered in Charleston for a press conference on Monday, February 18, to announce the strike.
