Case Against Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department Dismissed By West Virginia Supreme Court

The West Virginia Supreme Court affirmed the dismissal of a case against the Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department in a January 2019 ruling.

The suit, brought by Selwyn Vanderpool, Joseph Boswell, and Cornerstone Marketing, LLC, emerged from an investigation into alleged financial abuse of an elderly person. In the Supreme Court filings, the Sheriff Department's initial investigation into Boswell was noted to be "mistaken."
