Jury Deliberations End In Case Against Former Greenbrier Valley Solid Waste Driver

The trial of a former truck driver for Greenbrier Valley Solid Waste Authority truck driver ended in the Greenbrier County Circuit Court on Thursday, January 24.

The seven men and five women of the jury began deliberations after closing arguments, around 3 p.m., Wednesday, January 23. In order to convict, the jury must come to a unanimous, beyond a reasonable doubt verdict of guilty, specifically of driving in an impaired state causing serious bodily injury.

With the jury unable to come to a cohesive decision, Circuit Court Judge Robert Richardson declared a mistrial.
