Charges Dropped Against Monroe County Woman Who Blocked MVP Construction

The Greenbrier County Commission voted to settle an ongoing lawsuit with New River Community and Technical College, commonly refered to as the pool litigation, during the Tuesday, November 28, regular meeting of the commission.

The ongoing suit was brought against the County Commission after the community college incurred more costs than expected during the remodeling and construction of a community pool; the county once owned the pool building of New River Community and Technical College and rented the building to the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH), giving most of the rent payments to NRCTC. The building was ultimately transferred to the college "to support their continued growth," according to Hanna in a previous commission meeting.
