McGrath Enters Guilty Plea After Indictment For Escaping Alderson

On Tuesday, November 20, Cheryl McGrath, 51, entered a guilty plea to the charge of escaping from the federal prison at Alderson, where she was incarcertaed after felony conviction of willful failure to pay over tax and health care fraud.

According to the initial criminal complaint, McGrath left FPC Alderson on July 26 with persomission or authorization. She was recapture on July 27, a few miles from the prison, after Alderson staff discovered her missing. In a plea letter, McGrath state that she is entering a guilty plea to the charge contained in the indictment.
