Ronceverte Men Charged With Battery, Improper Weapon Discharge, Obstructing Following Struggle

Two men have been arrested following an incident in Ronceverte on Sunday, August 19, involving gunfire within 500 feet of a dwelling, domestic battery, and other charges. On Sunday, Deputy Z.H. Hudnall and Corporal T.C. Webber of the Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to a "domestic type complaint with shots fired at a residence" in the Squirrel Hill trailer park in Ronceverte.

At the scene, the criminal complaints state that the officer made contact with the two men who were involved, Elias Lopez Mendez, 25, and Francisco Lopez Ruiz, 30. When asked what had happened and who had been shooting, both men allegedly stated that they did not know.
