Judge Issues Stay To Halt MVP Work

Work relating to the installation of Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) was halted on Thursday, June 21, in response to a petition claiming the Army Corps of Engineers issued an invalid authorization for the pipeline.

According to the court documents filed in the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, a stay has been issued on the United States Army Corps of Engineers' (Corp) verification of a rule allowing construction around bodies of water until issues raised by the petition had been resolved.
